Rycroft Leisure CIO

Ryhill Parish Council along with Havercroft with Cold Hiendley Council set up Rycroft Leisure to operate the sports and youth centres. Prior to 1999 the Joint Recreation Ground Committee owned and managed the sports grounds.

Both councils continue to help fund the running of the centre and the sports fields with money raised from their precepts and several councillors are closely involved in the decision making and running of the facilities.

Ryhill Parish Council is committed to maintaining this valuable resource for the community.

Your Parish Councillors

Your parish councillors are some of the 80,000 local councillors nationally who give their time unpaid to support their local communities. Each councillor undertakes several other roles within the council as part of their duties. The Clerk to the Council is part-time and is a paid employee. He is the proper officer.

Ryhill Parish Council Greenspaces

The Parish Council owns or leases several greenspaces within the parish. These are Ryhill Park which is owned by the parish and Ryhill Stray and the old Station site which are leased to us. The Parish Council maintains all these sites for the amenity of the community and parishioners have told us how important they are to their well-being, more particularly so during the pandemic and lockdown. The Parish Council is committed to protecting the greenspaces within our parish boundaries to the best of its ability.
